Our shop

We opened Petite Pomme with the aim of making your visit as pleasurable as possible. We know shopping with children can be extremely stressful so we tried to make the shop child-friendly with wide open spaces to push buggies and prams round and lots of toys to keep the little ones entertained while the grown-ups do their shopping.

You will be warmly welcomed whether you are there to shop or just to browse. The boutique has been situated in Giffnock, on the south side of Glasgow, since March 2008, and has already built up quite a following, with visitors from far and near, and we have made many new friends.

The boutique was started by two sisters, Fiona and Lorna, who were frustrated by their attempts to find stylish, different and well-made clothes that embraced childhood and weren't too grown up. There have been a few changes since the start with Lorna deciding to spend more time with her family after the birth of her second child, Eilidh. However, Lorna, Alexander and baby Eilidh are still frequent visitors to the boutique! Fiona has three children: Emily, 13, Rachel, seven, and Calvin, four, and they are always happy to voice their likes and dislikes!

Inspiration for Petite Pomme has been drawn from the chic Parisian boutiques that Fiona frequents on her visits to family in France. Petite Pomme stocks many fabulous designers from the French favourite Lili Gaufrette to the classic British label D'arcy Brown.

From the simple classics of Il Gufo to the practical style of Petit Bateau – there really is something for everyone. New labels for spring summer 2011 include Ralph Lauren for ever-popular classics and Sonia Rykiel for chic but edgy designs.

We stock sizes from newborn to age 14 for girls and age 12 for boys. All purchases are delicately wrapped in tissue paper and beautifully presented.
